NCP greets people of state on Eid-ul-Zuha 9/23/2015 10:21:13 PM JAMMU, Sept 23: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh, state President Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has greeted the Muslim community of the state on the eve of Eid-ul-Zuha. In a statement issued here today, the NCP's state unit president Thakur Randhir Singh said that Eid is a festival that is celebrated with traditional fervour and gaiety in J&K and other parts of the country and world. Singh said many Muslims wear new clothes and attend an open-air prayer meeting during Eid-ul-Zuha. They may sacrifice a sheep or goat and share the meat with their family members, neighbours and the poor. Singh said Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and Buddhists greet the Muslim friends on this great occasion.
