Deputation meets with Divisional Commissioner | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 23: A deputation of border area residents, led by Choudhary Manmohan Singh met with Divisional Commissioner Pawan Kotwal and apprised him of the daily problems of people living near border and suffering from regular cross border firing. In a press statement issued here, Singh relayed the dilemma of these people and their some genuine demands including immediate treatment to the injured of firing in army/private hospital on Government's expenses insurance for people, their crops and livestock against any loss or damage during firing, immediate relief to the tune of Rs 50000 in case milking animals get killed or hurt, compensation of Rs 10 lac to people who are killed and Rs 5 lac to the injured and disabled due to Pak firing, moreover Subash chander, Ravi Kumar of village Sai and Rajni Devi wife of deceased Lt. Pawan Kumar of village Abdhullian, all these who lost their spouses and family members, the sole bread earners in their family to the Pak firing, should be given Govt jobs and free education to the kith of people injured or killed in firing. Div.Com patiently heard demands and agreed that their problems demands are viable and genuine. He assured the deputation of his full support in forwarding these demands to the Govt and getting them approved. |
