Info under RTI about PPP projects PDD playing hide and seek 9/23/2015 11:28:17 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, Sept 23: The Power Development Department (PDD) is playing hide and seek over issue of providing information under RTI Act vis a vis the projects undertaken under Public Private Partner (PPP) method from the last 5 years in power sector alleges RTI Activist Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat. Muzaffar says that he filed an application under J&K RTI Act 2009 before the PIO of State Power Ministry at Civil Secretariat Srinagar on 25th August 2015 but instead of providing the information the Power Ministry (PDD) authorities have forwarded the RTI application to all the administrative departments under section 6 (3) of J&K RTI Act 2009 which is absolutely wrong. " I am seeking details about power sector and how can that be available with Revenue , Tourism , Culture , Ladakh affairs or Transport Ministry / other subordinate Govt departments ? On daily basis I am getting letters from different departments as PDD have asked them to address my query , this is just to play hide and seek over this issue. PDD should have forwarded my RTI application to Power Development Corporation, Power Companies and other authorities associated with Power sector , what is the fun of forwarding my RTI application to as many as 100 Government departments , I want to ask PIO of Power Ministry at Civil Secretariat " said Dr Raja Muzaffar Pertinent to mention that Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat had sought Complete list of projects undertaken in J&K under Public Private Partnership (PPP) including BOOT and works allotted to various MNC's , and other groups .
