Kishtwar teachers without salary | DMTA slams Govt | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Sept 23: District Master/Teachers Association (DMTA) Kishtwar today slammed PDP-BJP government for their failure to release the pending salaries of head teachers, RRTs and ReTs, pending since last several months. As per reports, an emergency meeting was today held under the Presidentship of Mehboob Ahmed Qazi wherein the issues related to pending salaries of Head Teachers, RRTs and ReTs working under SSA was discussed threadbare. While talking to Early Times, President DMTA Kishtwar Mehboob Qazi said that it is a matter of great concern that teaching community working under SSA are performing their duties to the satisfaction of their superiors, but despite all that the government fails to provide them their salaries pending since last several months. He said that the services of these employees are being used without being paid and termed it as violation of fundamental rights of these aggrieved employees. He said that instead of blaming the Head Teachers, RRTs and ReTs, senior officials of the department should be held responsible for not submitting the utilization certificate required under SSA to Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. He said that many employees had also avail the loan facilities from private banks and due to non payments of monthly installments, those employees has been declared as defaulters by the banks. He said that the government should talk to banks for waving off the extra interest charged by the banks from defaulter employees. Qazi urged upon the Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed and Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu whom he (Qazi) termed as great economist to intervene personally so as to save the honour and integrity of valuable components of the employees. |
