Truck crushes jawan to death, driver held 9/24/2015 12:07:43 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 23: A jawan on duty was knocked to death by a speedily driven truck at Lakhanpur in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile police have arrested the accused driver. "The deceased has been identified as Narender Singh of Talbandi of Punjab, police sources said. Police said that Narender posted in Maggar Khad while was on patrolling duty along the road side today was knocked down to death by a speedily driven truck bearing registration number JK03D-9154, on its way from Jammu to Punjab at Lakhanpur.". After getting the information, other jawans immediately reached the spot and shifted him to nearby hospital where he was declared as brought dead. Police sources said a case stands registered in this regard and accused truck driver has been arrested by the police.
