Another dry Eid: MC Banihal daily wagers without salaries 9/24/2015 12:10:12 AM Early Times Report Banihal, Sept 23: For over one dozen daily wage and causal workers working engaged by Municipal Committee Banihal the things have not changed till now as they still are without salaries from past 21 months. On the festival of auspicious Eid these workers are still without wages and today they submit a memorandum before the SDM Banihal Faraq Qazi and urged him to release their pending salaries after raising their just and genuine demand to concerned authorities. While talking to Early Times, the aggrieved daily wagers of MC Banihal told that they have requested so many times to their officer for the release of their salaries but all in vain. They further lamented that the festivity of holy Eid is of no delight as they are unable to buy new clothes for their children which is giving a pinch to them. "As they have not been paid for the last 21 month by the concerned authorities, the things on domestic fronts are turning from bad to worse for them, they said adding, " they are unable to meet both ends to meet. Executive Officer Municipal Committee Banihal Koshal Kumar when contacted briefly said that due to the non availability of funds they are not in a position to release salary to the daily wagers.
