Jammu, Oct 14: As per the directions issued by Chief Secretary of J&K Jammu, regarding cleanliness drive on the eve of darbar move, a meeting with Sanitation Staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation was convened by RS Jamwal, KAS, Joint Commissioner (Adm) in the Conference Hall of JMC regarding Darbar Move arrangements.
In the meeting the Sanitation officer of Estate Department and all the Officers/Officials of Sanitation Wing of the Corporation that include Health Officer, Municipal Veterinary Officer, Chief Transport Officer, Executive Engineers(E) and all sanitary Inspectors were present and issues related to Sanitation issues related to Darbar move arrangements including desilting and removal of mulba lying on roads side, lanes/bye lanes, and maintenance of Street Lights were discussed threadbare. It was decided in the meeting that Sanitation Officer of Estate Department has to identify different locations where dustbins are to be installed and AEE (Workshop ) is directed to provide the containers to the concerned Department and the construction Mulba of the various quarters of Estate Department will be lifted by them while the garbage/filth etc shall be lifted by the Jammu Municipal Corporation before 27.10.2015. Further the Joint Commissioner (A) directed Health Officer/MVO/CTO for proper desilting of drains/deep drains (especially near Poonch House Talab Tillo), removal of silt /garbage, cleanliness of lanes and roads leading to Civil Secretariat, Jammu and also in the localities where Govt. quarters are situated. He also directed Sanitation wing of JMC for proper fogging in and around all the Govt. Quarters / colonies well before opening of the Civil Secretariat. |
