Jammu, Oct 14: On the repeated intervention of a Minister, the range of a police Inspector has been changed from Rajouri-Poonch to Jammu. While he wished to be posted in Jammu, he was transferred to Samba district.
According to police sources, he was now trying to change his district from Samba to Jammu where he expected to be posted as the SHO of a police station. He had already given to the concerned officer the choice of the police station, the sources added.
He was fed up with the attitude of his senior in Rajouri and had been taking rounds of the Minister's residence for a posting in Jammu. The SHO has also called on a senior officer in Jammu and told him that his senior in Rajouri district "off and on reprimands him over trivial matters", sources informed.
Before his transfer to Rajouri, he was posted in Jammu. A senior police officer in Rajouri, who was very thick with this Inspector, posted him as the SHO of a police station. After one year or so, he was transferred and made SHO of another "important" police station in the district.
But after the transfer of the senior district officer, a senior of the SHO started harassing him and even reprimanding him over small matters, sources said.
The officer's attitude made him unhappy and he approached the Minister in Jammu who ultimately got him transferred to Samba district. |
