Revenue Minister takes on Financial Commissioner | Cancels transfer orders of 14 Patwaris, asks bureaucrat to explain his position | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 14: The Revenue Minister has snubbed the Financial Commissioner Revenue for transferring over 14 Patwari's from parent districts to other districts of the state contrary to the order issued by the government in March this year. The government has ordered immediate cancellation of the order issued by the Financial Commissioner Revenue vide order No. FC(Adm) 239 of 2015 Dated 4-09-2015. As per the details available with "Early Times", Minister for Revenue Javed Mustafa Mir took a strong note of the order issued by Financial Commissioner Revenue and directed Secretary to Government Revenue Department Muhammad Afzal to issue immediate order for cancellation of transfer cum swapping of posting involving 14 Patwari's issued by the Financial Commissioner Revenue." Acting on the directions of the concerned Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Shah Additional Secretary to Government Revenue Department on behalf of Secretary to Government Revenue Department Muhammad Afzal issued order No. 154-Rev (NG) of 2015 Dated 12-10-2015 reverted all the transferred Patwari's back to their original place of the posting. As per the order issued by Secretary to Government Revenue Department, the order of Financial Commissioner Revenue has been issued in violation of the government policy issued vide Government Order No. Rev (NG) 52 of 2015 Dated 9-03-2015 wherein strict instructions were issued that the Patwari's who have been appointed in Rural/Home Districts and were serving in other Districts in violation of the rules be reverted to their parent districts. "Whereas the Office of Financial Commissioner (Revenue) vide Order No. FC (Adm) 239 of 2015 Dated 4-9-2015 in violation of the rules and policy laid down in terms of Government Order No. Rev (NG) of 2015 Dated 9-03-2015, has transferred 14 Patwaris out of their parent Districts" read government order added that "Now, Therefore, Financial Commissioner (Revenue) Order No. FC (Adm) 239 of 2015 Dated 4-9-2015 is hereby cancelled and transferees are reverted back to their original place of postings in their respective parent districts, the said order has been issued in violation of the rules and government order No. Rev (NG) of 2015 Dated 9-03-2015". Meanwhile the sources informed the "Early Times" that the Minister has also asked the Financial Commissioner Revenue to explain his position over the unilateral transfer of 14 transfers without taking the minister and the government on board. However, it is not confirmed whether the government has ordered any inquiry against Financial Commissioner Revenue over the transfer of influential Patwaris, that too in violations of government policy. |
