C&D Association stages protest against online sale of medicines. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Oct.14: Chemist & Druggist Association today observed complete shut down and expressed resentment against Union Health Minister wherein they demanded revocation of online sale of medicines. C&D Association Kathua staged protest demonstration and submitted a memorandum to Union Health Ministry through Additional District Development Commissioner Kathua. While interacting to media, Vinod Gupta Chief Patron of C&D Association Kathua said online sale of medicines will put the future of coming generation at stake as there will be an easy access and availability of habit forming medicines. He said Drug & cosmetic Act is very clear that sale of medicines should be done on a valid prescription of a regd. medical practitioners. Gupta said H-1 was incorporated in the Drug Act recently and asked what will be the status of H-1 drugs if sale is allowed by online when India is being stated to be highest consumer of antibiotics in the world.
