DEE Railways assaulted by subordinates, FIR lodged | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 14: The train services remained affected for hours together in Jammu causing inconvenience to the passengers, here on Wednesday after Railway's lower staff went on strike as a protest against the suspension of the seven employees by Railway Administration. The administration placed seven employees under suspension after they allegedly committed assault on their senior, following which GRP lodged FIR against them. The incident took place, when Divisional Electrical Engineer (DEE) Jatinder Kumar went to work place at Jammu Railway Station for inspection. Sensing fault on the part of the lower staff, causing verbal brat between the duo party and later it turned into assault. The matter came to the notice of the Railway administration and even Firozpur Division which later suspended seven employees. The DEE also lodged FIR against the assailants following which police booked them under section 323,357,147 RPC against FIR No 14/2015. They have been identified as Shyamer Singh, Kulbushan, Dharam Raj Saini, Shemsher and others. To hold inquiry against the incident, a three member team from Ferozpur Division of Railways reached at Jammu. They included Divisional Personal Officer (DPO), Sr DEE(TDR) and Divisional Material Manager (DMM). As soon as the report of suspension of the seven employees was flashed, the lower employees under the banner of Northern Railways Men Union (NRMU) held protest against the railway administration. They also confined the Rajdhani Express at Washing Point for hours which caused its delay and had adverse affect on the services of other trains. |
