Jammu, Oct 14: A fresh spell of heavy rains with thunderstorm today knocked the arrival of winters with temperature dipping by few degrees across the region. Heavy thunder followed by spell of rains provided much-needed relief to the people from scorching hot and humid conditions that continued in the region for the past several days. The sky in the morning was overcast by black clouds while the vehicles were seen moving with their headlights on. As per the weatherman, the temperature has dipped by few degrees and it will further go down in the coming days with the onset of winter season. "It was much awaited spell of rains and will change the climate," he added. Meanwhile, bikers and those driving four wheelers got stuck up due to waterlogged roads. The upper reaches of mountainous belts also received fresh snowfall. |
