Kishtwar Oct 14: Continuing its endeavour to educate voters about their right to become an elector under Systematic Voters Education & Electoral Participation (SVEEP), District Election Officer Kishtwar today organized an awareness camp at B.Ed College Kishtwar. According to press release, ADC Kishtwar along with Nodal Officer for SVEEP Raiz Ahmed Butt sensitized the students about the importance of special Summary revision 2016. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar stressed the student community to get themselves registered as voters who had obtained the age of 18 or will become eighteen years of age by or before 1-1-2016 as qualifying date by filling Form-6 and become the new voter as it is indispensible for them to become the part of the electoral process. The other important instructions were also imparted to them like online registration of voters, correction, addition, deletion and manual filling of form No. 6 for registration of new voters. The others, who also attended the camp including Shaheena Begum, Principal B.Ed College Kishtwar, Principal HSS Islamia Faridia Kishtwar, Nayeem Waza, retired lecturer and prominent poet Lekh Raj Nirala and the other faculty members of the institution. |
