Doda, Oct 14: In connection with one day pen down strike call given by all Jammu and Kashmir Diploma Engineers Association dozens of diploma Engineers hold a strong demonstration at Doda.
Later on a memorandum was submitted to Deputy Commissioner Doda which includes demands i.e; adoption of Punjab pattern for removing stagnation of diploma holders at the level of junior engineers. The major quota of 20% earmarked for Diploma engineers in promotions for AE to AEE and AEE to XEN should be strictly adhered to as per the recommendations of the Establishment cum selection Committee. They said that their not more than 5% Ex En from this cadre presently working in the various departments against their allotted quota of 20 %.
