Doda, Oct 14:Krishi Vigyan Kendra SKUAST-J, Doda (Bhaderwah) organized one day training programme on "Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in extension work" for the extension functionaries of Department of Agriculture, Doda at KVK Headquarters Bhaderwah under the overall guidance of Dr K.S. Risam, Director Extension SKUAST-J. The programme was conducted by Dr R.S. Bandral, Dr B. Brahma and Dr. Narinder Paul, scientists from KVK Doda and assisted by Dr Munish Sharma. Dr. B. Brahma, scientist KVK Doda welcomed the extension functionaries from the department in the training programme. Dr Narinder Paul held an interactive session supported by power point presentation on the theme and urged upon the extension functionaries to make use of the information communication technology in the field extension work as it has several added advantages over the traditional extension tools for communication of information pertaining to agriculture. He suggested to make the farmers well aware of Kissan Call Centers and to lay out live demonstrations in the villages on use of Kissan Call Centers for solving problems of the farmers and in getting technology, marketing, inputs related information.
The programme was attended by Ampy Singh , AEO; Jatinder Nath, Ashok Kumar, Diwakar Anand, Meenakshi Bharti, Reeta Kotwal, Irfana Parveen, Pardeep Kumar, Devinder Kumar; extension functionaries from the department of agriculture Doda. Programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr RS Bandral Programme Coordinator KVK Doda. |
