Srinagar, Oct 14: Despite rain, the 300-km-long national highway, the only road linking the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country, and Leh-Srinagar national highway were through for traffic. Meanwhile, the historic Mughal road, linking south Kashmir with Jammu region, also remained open despite rainfall since early this morning. The 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway received rainfall since early this morning. However, a traffic police official said the highway was through for traffic. He said traffic was also plying normally on the Mughal road, linking Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region despite rain.The 434-km-long Leh-Srinagar national highway was also through, he said. |
