| DIG Jammu organizes Police Public Meet | | |  Early Times Report
Samba, Nov 1: In order to improve the police public relations Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Dy. Inspector General of Police, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, accompanied by Joginder Singh, SSP Samba held a police public meet at Bari-Brahmana.
Large number of prominent citizens, Political leaders of various parties, Sarpanchs and Panchs from various parts of Bari Brahmana and Purmandal block attended the meeting. Most of the speakers during the meeting reported that the overall crime scenario in the Bari Brahmana and Parmandal areas has improved and efforts are made to promote communal harmony. However, they shared some traffic related problems with regard to overloading by metadors and traffic jams in Bari Brahmna-Bishnah Chowk and Industrial crossing Chowk. People from Parmandal area also reported that their ZEO and CDP offices are operating from Kunwani and Bari Brahmana respectively due to which they face problems for their concerning issues. DIG Jammu Samba Kathua Range while addressing the gathering assured that their traffic related problems shall be resolved shortly as Distt. Police has been directed to assist the traffic police during the peak hours and also advised SSP Samba for construction of police booth in the Industrial crossing road, so that local police remain present on duty during all weather. |
