Kishtwar police recovers body from cremation ground

Kishtwar Nov 1: Acting swiftly on a specific input, a police party led by Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed today Recovered a body identified as Kuldeep Kumar son of Sundar Singh resident of Cherji Kishtwar minutes before his cremation from the cremation ground some 20 KM from Kishtwar town in Dool area. As per reports, the deceased Kuldeep Kumar fell to gun shots under mysterious circumstance in a nearby forest area where he along with his maternal cousin SPO Leela Ram son of Prem Nath also resident of Cherji Kishtwar has gone.
The family members instead of reporting the matter to police tried to cremate the body of the deceased, but timely and swift action of Kishtwar police, Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar managed to take the custody of the body from cremation ground and shifted the same to District Hospital Kishtwar for autopsy so as to ascertain the cause of the death. During preliminary investigation it was found that the primary cause of the death of the deceased was due to bullet injury and police are investigating the case.
They beside also seized two weapons which will be sent for FSL test to Jammu. The locals informed the police that the deceased and his relative had gone to nearby forest for hunting, where the deceased got injured in an accidental fire.
They informed the police that the deceased after getting injured in accidental fire. Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Sandeep Kumar Wazir also rushed to hospital and examine the dead body and also held a detailed discussion with doctors and police officers to study the various angles that lead to the death of the deceased.
While talking to Early Times Additional SP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom said that police has started an inquest proceedings under section 174 Cr.Pc to ascertain the real cause and circumstances that lead to the death of the deceased.
He said that it is a matter of the investigation to ascertain that whether the death is accidental or some other reason if any behind his death.
After completion of all the legal formalities, Kishtwar police handed over the dead body of the deceased to legal heirs for last rites.
