Leh, Nov 1 : 'Vigilance Awareness Week -2015' was observed at Nimoo Bazgo Power Station, NHPC Limited, Alchi, Leh (J&K). As informed by PVO Ashish Saxena, various programmes were conducted during the week for enhancing vigilance among employees, which included essay and debate competition on topic "Preventive vigilance as a tool of Good Governance ", Poem recitation competition on "Role of modern Technology in Combating Corruption" at conference room of NBPS, Alchi. The programme was completed by valedictory function which included a cultural programme in which prominent citizen, social workers and senior bureaucrats were invited. Stobdan (winner of Vir Chakra during Kargil war ) of Tia village was felicitated and presented with a shawl and memento by Chief Engineer NBPS. The proceedings of the programme began with singing of National Anthem followed by speech from Stobdan who informed about the heroics of Ladakh scouts during the time of Kargil war, then there was a programme from local participants which was followed by prize distribution by SK Sandhu Chief Engineer (E)/HOP of NBPS. |
