JUKC organizes state level Mushaira 11/2/2015 12:06:53 AM Early Times Reports Kishtwar, Nov 1 : Kishtwar campus University of Jammu today organized a State level Urdu and Kashmiri Mushaira in which the towering poets of Urdu and Kashmiri languages of the state participated and entertained the hundreds of audience. The mushaira was presided over by the towering Urdu critic and researcher Prof.Qudoos Javed while Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof. R.D.Sharma was the Chief Guest.The reputed kashmiri poet of kishtwar Rehmat Ali Rehmat and the Director of Kishtwar Campus Prof.Shohab Inayat Malik also graced the presidium. In his welcome address Prof Shohab described Kishtwar a land of writers and poets saying that Kishtwar had produced towering Urdu and Kashmiri Poets like Kamgar Kishtwari, Ishrat Kishtwari, Nishat Kishtwari, Janbaz Kishtwari and Ulfat kishtwari. Even today poets like Tamkeen Kishtwari, Nadeem Kishtwari, Gulab Saifi, Abdul Salam and other young budding poets are writing Urdu and Kashmiri verses. Prof.Shohab further said that by organizing these mushairas he wants to strengthen the old age communal hormony and brotherhood of Kishtwar. While speaking on the occasion Prof.R.D.Sharma Vice Chancellor Jammu University congratulated Kishtwar Campus for such a grand mushaira. He said that these type of activities provide us tension free atmosphere. Mushairas has played a vital role in maintaining National integration and brotherhood. Prof. Qudoos Javed in his presidential address lauded the poetry of the poets who presented their verses in the mushaira. He too described Kishtwar not only the land of sufi saints but also the hub of literary and cultural activities. The poets who participated in the mushaira and presented poetry in Prof. Zaman Azurda, Prof. Asad-ullah Wani, Balraj Bakshi, Gualb Saifi, Nadeem Kishtwari, Ameen Doolwal, Tamkeen kishtwari, Abdul Salam, Sagar Sehrai, Rehmat Ali Rehmat,Altaf Kashmiri and others.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
