Udhampur, Nov 1: A monthly meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum held today at Krishna Palace Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by executive members of ReT Forum from all the Eleven Zones of the district.
While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma while highlighting the burning issues of ReTs lambasted the Education Department for casual approach to resolve their issues of regularization of ReTs who have completed their 5 years period one and half year back and their files are dusting in the offices on the name of verification. He said the ReTs under SSA are without salary for last 4 to 6 months and they have been without salary on the occasion of festivals like Eid, Navratars, Ashoora, Karva Chauth and even Diwali is approaching but the Govt. is sleeping over the issues and nothing except hollow assurances is are being made this regard. Mid-day-meals dues are also pending which these teachers have been managing from their own pockets and by taking loans.
