SEECC discusses state education scenario | | | Early Times Report
Kathua Nov 1: School Education Employees Coordination Committee (SEECC) held a meeting and discussed the present education scenario in the state under the chairman ship of Amar Nath Thakur Provincial President. During meeting, speakers said that all in-charge Joint Directors/ CEO’s, Principals, ZEO’s, Lecturers, headmasters including those who have been retired died or left out must be regularized as per SRO 481 of 2010 d 30.12.2010 of education department without any further delay. He described banning of tuition by teachers as unjustified as students need extra time and coaching to understand the subjects. Speaker stated that in rural far flung areas where there are no coaching centres students need tuition which the teachers teach free without charging any fee. No doubt there are some selfish lecturers and teachers who do not teach in school and force students to take tuition such teachers should be identified and transferred to rural areas. Every well earning family sends children to private schools and feels dishonour, humiliation in admitting their children in government schools; this difference is the cause of bad results. Amar Nath Thakur said that Minister for Education has taken some bold decisions for streamlining the education system which had only become a transfer industry and huge money was paid as corruption for adjustment as per choice. Now directors will approve the lists of lecturers to be appointed for conducting board exams to end the nexus between lecturers and board authorities, inter district transfer of female teachers will be done, rationalization process is going on and we should wait for better results.
