Jammu, Nov 6:Four persons allegedly were arrested with heroin at a naka checking at Bakshi Nagar Pulli near Pawan Ice Cream, Jammu under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bakhshi Nagar, police said today. "The accused have been identified as Harish Gupta s/o Ashok Gupta of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Sachin Sharma s/o Kishore Kumar of Indira Nagar Miran Sahib, Arjun Sharma s/o Danish Sharma of Gandhi Nagar, and Tarish Sharma s/o Ravinder of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, police said. Police spokesperson said, "A special naka was laid by Inspr Ashwani Kumar, SHO P/S Bakshi Nagar Jammu at Bakshi Nagar Pulli near Pawan Ice Cream on the directions of Uttam Chand-IPS, SSP Jammu under the close supervision of Vivek Shekhar, Dy.SP I/C SDPO City West and Shivkumar Singh Chouhan, SP City North, Jammu." "On suspicion Police intercepted a Spark Car bearing regd no JK02AN-1688 on way from Akhnoor towards Maheshpura at naka point and during checking 4-5 grams of Heroin was recovered from the possession of the driver of the car Harish Gupta," police said adding, "during questioning he disclosed that his three other above mentioned associates." "The vehicle was seized and all four accused have been arrested on the spot," police spokesperson said. The police said that a case under FIR No 143/2015 u/s 8/21/22/NDPS Act, stands registered against accused at P/S Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and investigation is in progress. |
