Separatist posters on million march rally appear in Kishtwar mosque | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Kishtwar, Nov 6: Much to the disappointment of peace loving people of Kishtwar District, the separatist elements in Kishtwar District managed to paste the posters of "million march" call of Huriyat Conference faction of hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani the walls of Jamia Masjid Kishtwar situated in the heart of Kishtwar town in high security zone. As per the details available with "Early Times", the separatist posters appeared on the walls of Jamia Masjid hours before the scheduled Friday prayers under the nose of police personals who mostly remain present in and around the mosque in civil dress. The posters that appeared on the walls of the mosque made an appeal to the people to participate in the "million march" scheduled to be held at TRC ground Srinagar for strengthening the ongoing freedom struggle beside to show hatred towards the Prime Minister Modi who according to the said poster is the enemy of Muslims. The poster also carried the provocative slogans promoting jehad and implementation of Islamic rule. The posters has printing mark of printing press of SR Graphics Safakadal Srinagar which suggested that the posters were transported from Srinagar to Kishtwar for pasting on the walls of Jamia Masjid Kishtwar. Later the police removed the poster from the mosque walls. However no FIR has been registered so far in this regard nor any person was arrested by the police for making an attempt to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of communally sensitive Kishtwar District. Meanwhile keeping in view tomorrow's PM’s Visit, police has strengthened the security in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas to thwart any attempt of anti national elements to destabilize peace and tranquility in the area. |
