| PDP makes huge investments on PM's rally | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 6: Hopeful of the positive outcome of the PM's visit, PDP has galvanised all its resources to ensure that the visit is not only historic but the talking point of the state and country.
The party leadership has put the task of getting people to the rally to all its MLAs and senior leadership. The party cadre has been specifically tasked with spreading the buzz that the visit could be turning point thus ensuring that there is positive hype of the visit.
It's for this reason that it is rare visit of the PM to the valley around which so much hype has been made. The PDP leadership has been specifically briefed by the CM Mufti Sayeed and also by the party president Mehbooba Mufti that rally has to be successful to the extent that it can beat the previous rally addressed by the former PM AB Vajpayee.
The CM has held long deliberations with the party leadership on the success of the rally and before leaving for the Mumbai tasked it Mehbooba Mufti , which is quite significant. The PDP is not taking anything for the chance but is handling the things in a manner that it also doesn't antogonise that people by doing things which doesn't build a perception that PDP is going extra tough at the locals to appease the PM. The PDP has been given enough hints by the senior BJP leadership especially Ram Madhav that the outcome of the rally will be beneficial to the PDP either way and it will also slience the National Conference.
Source said that the PDP cadre has been also tasked with keeping an eye on the hooligan elements which can probably be send by the opposition to create disturbance in the rally, the last thing that PDP wants. |
