Amended RTI -a big joke, NCP demands to rectify same: Thakur Randhir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 6: Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh, President Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) J&K today said that the Right to Information (RTI) amended by the state assembly in 2011, is a big joke and state NCP will put pressure on state govt to rectify the RTI as passed by the earlier assembly. Addressing a press conference here today, former minister Thakur Randhir Singh appealed to all RTI activists to join together and expose corrupt politicians, bureocrates, land mafia and contractors who have hand in glove in the state which further has polluted the political atmosphere across the state. "This atmosphere is responsible for making state the most corrupt in the country, Singh said while appealing to the state CM Mufti Mohd Sayeed to amend the State Accountability Commission in the original form when it was enacted. Singh however has appreciated the nominations of the highly qualified and honest judges as members of new accountability commission. Meanwhile, Thakur Randhir Singh also informed that National President NCP Sharad Pawar has appointed Mohd Isshaq a prominent Gujjar leader and Jaswant Singh Jamwal a retired Superintendent Northern Railways as General Secretaries of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) with immediate effect in order to strengthen the NCP in J&K state. State President has allotted Gujjar and Bakerwals, Enterpreuner cell, additional spokesman of NCP and Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC) the youth wing to Ch Mohd Isshaq while Jaswant Singh Jamwal has been made Incharge RTI cell NCP District Kathua. |
