| Mazdoor Dastkar Union protests, highlights demands | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Nov 6: Mazdoor Dastkar Union (MDU) Udhampur unit today staged a protest demonstration against the Labour Department at MH Chowk Udhampur to highlight the demands of the labourers' class.
President MDU-U Sudershan Kumar Mistry who led the protest said that the concerned authorities at J&K Labour Department has failed to make Mazdoor Identity Card with a plea that department cannot make the identity cards when officer like Tesihldar, BDO and AE- PWD- and other departmental signatory authorizes issue the workers card. He also said that the union will take up issue of labourer class with administration for immediate redressal.
Speakers requested to DC Udhampur to resolve the problems of labourers in Udhampur by redressing demands like pension after 60years, BPL ration cards, health and education facilities for the dependents of labourers free of cost and registration of labourers so that they could avail various government scheme.
Vise president Bansi Lal Sharma, Jagat Singh and others also spoke on this occasion. |
