early times report Jammu, Nov 9: As part of the National Mission for Capacity Building of Bankers for financing MSME Sector(NAMCABS), a pilot workshop for capacity building of branch managers of Specialised MSME Branches and heads of Regional Training Centres of banks was inaugurated by D. Sethy, Regional Director for Jammu & Kashmir, RBI Jammu. The workshop was organised at RBI Jammu, and was attended by 33 participants, comprising Branch Managers of Specialised MSME Branches and in-charges of MSME Divisions in the Controlling Offices of 11 major banks functioning in the State. In his inaugural address Sethy highlighted the importance of MSME sector especially in view of "Make in India", Digital India, Start-up India etc. programmes of GoI. The training sessions would mainly focus on the entrepreneurial sensitivity, soft skills required to handle the first generation entrepreneurs as well as existing MSME borrowers; timely and adequate funding to the MSME customer and prompt rehabilitation measure to revive viable MSEunits, etc.Commissioner Secretary, I&C, Govt of J&K, Members of Faculty, College of Agriculture Banking, RBI, Pune, Professor, Central University of Jammu, DGM, SIDBI Chandigarh, Head Key Accounts, HDFC Bank, Ahmedabad, DGM, SME, Local Head Office, SBI, Chandigarh are the expert speakers for the workshop. |
