Educational institutes celebrate Diwali

Jammu, Nov 9: Various educational institutes across Jammu today celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm.
RM Public School celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and the programme started with lighting of diyas and candles by Trustee of the school Rita Mengi and principal of RM Public School Ravinder Kour. The students performed cultural items. Sweets were distributed among the students and faculty members at last. Trustee and principal address the students with the message to play safe and pollution free Diwali.
KIDZEE Pre-School of Zee Learn Ltd. celebrated "Diwali" and "Children Day" at its branches at Anand Nagar Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo with great pomp and show.
The function started with the special assembly in which the students were given demonstration regarding Diwali festival. They were made aware about the Smokeless Diwali to protect their environment. The small kids were dressed in colourful dresses.They took active participation in making colourful Rangolies with the help of their facilitators. The main attraction of the function was decoration of Diyas and colourful Rangolies.
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Higher Secondary School Kunjwani Talab Jammu celebrated Diwali in the school premises with full enthusiasm children from Nursery to class 10th participated in the function. On this occasion a Rangoli and card making competition was held among the students. The principal of the school Gurtaj Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and the chairman Prof. Harbans Singh also encouraged the message of light over darkness to the children.
DCM Public School Jammu celebrated Diwali and Diya decoration, Rangoli competition and Clay Modelling were the attraction on the occasion. Such events set the aesthetic ablaze among the students and promote the cultural and rich traditions of our country. The students put up their artistic acumen on display. The parents were honored as they were the Judges for the inter house activities.
With the message of celebrating a Cracker Free Diwali, the festival of lights, Deepawali, was celebrated in the premises of JK Public School. According to press release, the school choir sang a beautiful song followed by portrayal of Bal Ramayan by the toddlers of the school. The students enjoyed the short presentation. S K Singh, the Principal, in his address, advised the students to imbibe the measure of good over evil and light over darkness. He also advised them to think about the safety of the environment and keep it pollution free by celebrating this festival with love instead of crackers.
