Jammu, Nov 9 : Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), a prestigious technical institution of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), organized Inter-semester cultural competition "URJA- 2015" on the theme 'Deepawali''. Er. Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, was the Chief Guest of the function whereas Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI and Er Renu Bangroo presided over the function. The special Guest and Judge of the function was Prof JR Dhotra, Director, IMS. The programme started with traditional lighting of the lamp to invoke celestial blessings. The students from different departments competed in 'URJA-2015'which served as a perfect competitive platform to showcase their talent. The mega event witnessed seven different categories. The overall winner was Semester I. Winners in different categories included Paras Sharma(Guitar Competition),Pragti Jamwal (Singing Female), Karandeep Singh (Singing Male), Ananya (Dance Female), Akshat (Dance Male), Mridul Ghai (Rap), Onkush Manyal (Miscellaneous). Certificates were given away to the winners in different categories by the Chief Guest, Er. Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Th. Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman JGEI, Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI, Prof JR Dhotra, and Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET. |
