Border Lions Club Pallanwala lifts boys title 11/9/2015 10:38:44 PM JAMMU, Nov 9 : Border Lions Club Pallanwala lifted 27th Jammu District Volleyball Championship for boys today at M.A Stadium Jammu. In the championship Pallanwala Club beat Pindi Volleyball Club by 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-18) sets in neck to neck fight. Sahil, Ranjet and Sanjay excelled their performance for their team in lifting the finals whereas Deepak, Sunil Singh and Sacligan from Pindi Club also played superb game. In all 12 teams from boys section and 8 times from Girl section participated in 3-day championship which commenced on 7th Nov. 2015. Javad Shah Secretary J&K State Sports Council was the Chief Guest and gave away prizes/ trophies to the teams/ players on the occasion. The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organisers and assured full support to provide all infrastructural facility to promote Volleyball game in J&K State. Prof. Dhyan Singh Bhau Director Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu was Guest of Honour. Prominent among others present were Sidharth Daluja President Volleyball Association of J&K, Mr Kuldip Magotra CEO Volleyball Association of J&K, Vijay Magotra General Secretary of the Association, R.C Sharma Treasurer, Abdul Qayoom Chief Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council, Ravi Singh and Ashok Singh Managers MA Stadium. Akbar Ali, Subash Shastri also graced the occasion. Final Match was officiated by S. Amarjeet Singh, Wasim Raza and Azhar Aziz.
