Poonch, Nov 9: One-Day Educational Conference for consultations on New Education Policy-2015, School Education Department in accordance with the guidelines floated by MHRD Govt. of India was held at Dak Bunglow Poonch under the Chairmanship of Shah Mohd Tantray MLA Haveli and Haroon Malik DDC Poonch was the guest of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah Mohd Tantray stressed on the introduction of vocational subjects at secondary level, as this would not only help the students to earn the livelihood but also shall lower the unemployment graph in the country. While participating in the interaction session, Lal Hussain CEO Poonch laid stress on the strengthening of existing school infrastructure rather than expanding the education arbitrarily as this would adversely affect the future of students. Mohinder Singh Principal DIET Poonch emphasized introduction of skill oriented courses and establishment of Counseling Cells at Elementary and Secondary level besides constitution of academic inspection teams at Zonal level. Large number of public representatives including Retired Educationists, Sarpanches, Principals, HODs, ZEOs, Headmasters, masters, teachers, and parents besides a good number of students participated in the meet.
