| There are murmuring and dissensions in the BJP in J&K state . Reports are pouring that in the near future some revolt would be there in BJP because its Legislators belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes categories are feeling suffocated over the stand of BJP regarding the promotions in Government services in the light of the recent judgment of the Division Bench of the J&K High Court quashing therein the quota of promotions to the employees of the state government employees belonging to the Scheduled Class and Scheduled Tribes. They have threatened that they will quit BJP if reservation promotion row is not settled . It is on record that Dr. Devinder Kumar BJP Legislator has threatened on Sunday that he along with half a dozen BJP MLAs belonging to the SC category will leave the BJP in the days to come if BJP failed to protect their rights as guaranteed by the Indian Constitution . He further stated that he is in constant touch with these MLAs . Apart from this serious issue , the Deputy Chief Minister of the state Dr. Nirmal Singh also feeling annoyed with the untoward happenings in the functioning of the Coalition Government in J&K . This has come to the limelight when he did not attend the meeting of the District Development Board Meeting of Srinagar District last month . as a protest against sidelining him by the Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu in releasing the payments to the Corporate for doing the works of the Power Development Department of which he happened to be the Minister In charge . He is feeling disturbed and humiliated since then . Not only this he lodged the protest before the Chief Minister of the state Mufti Mohammed Sayeed . Also there are reports that certain ministers in the BJP and PDP combine don't want to see Dr. Singh as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state anymore . They are playing the intrigues against him . Not only this, the In charge of the J&K affairs in BJP Ram Madhav and Avinash Rai Khanna are not taking the BJP lot in the coalition ministry into confidence on the matters relating to the developments in the party affairs . Some important functionaries in the state BJP set up are also feeling annoyed with the top leadership of BJP over the expulsion of Prof. Hari Om who remained as the Vice President of BJP in J&K and also as the Chairman of the drafting Committee for preparing the BJP manifesto for the Assembly elections in the state . Even the cabinet ministers in the Coalition Government belonging to BJP are not being given due regards and respects by the functionaries of the partner . The People of the State at large through their right to franchise have already played their role in the recently held elections to the J&K Legislative Assembly in 2014. Their coming out from the houses in a very large numbers in taking active part the elections process have strengthened the very roots of the Parliamentary Democracy in the country in general and the state in particular. Their role is magnificent and appreciable because of the reason that they have shown the Separatists and the militant outfits the out gates thereby rejecting their dictates and boycott calls advising the People for not taking part in the Government of India governed electoral process in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
It is pertinent to mention here that presently the Health Minister of the state Ch. Lal Singh has developed the close ties with the Chief Minister Mufti and the top leadership of BJP at the central level and is trying his best for ensuring the good bye to Dr. Nirmal Singh from the post of Deputy Chief Minister of the state and trying for his entry on this score .
Certainly one thing is there that the people of Jammu region are very much annoyed with the performance of the BJP Ministers in the Coalition Government. During the last 9 months BJP in Jammu region lost the ground as the Jammuites are totally annoyed with it. They allege that BJP has surrendered the issues of Jammu region but instead adopted the policy of sailing on the low profile under the dominance of PDP . There was an era of Indefinite Bandhs in Jammu province against the State Government and Jammu based BJP leaders who got the ministerial berths in Mufti Government . At that time the Co-ordination Committee of Jammu BAR was in the command and control of the Jammu masses who came out of their respective houses against BJP and in support of their demand for setting up of AIIMS in Jammu. Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Jammu was also in direct touch with the people of Jammu on this score . BJP family was totally cut off during the said agitation as it had lost the ground in Jammu Division .
According to the political analysts BJP by diluting its stand regarding Article 370, Ram Mandir at Ayodhia, Uniform Code etc. weakened its position which will be suicidal for it in the days to come . Also by joining hands with Kashmir centric PDP for the formation of government in J&K, it has disheartened the old and committed workers of the party in Jammu region.
Those who were committed with the party ideology since its inception are feeling annoyed with the top leadership of the party as they want that their party should be in dictating terms to PDP . Also one thing is there that at the moment PDP and BJP relations are not based on equity but instead PDP maintains the edge over BJP in all the matters. PDP ministers are not even maintains the cordial relations with their counter parts in BJP.
The committed workers of BJP who worked day and night in the recent Assembly elections in J&K for the success of their party in Jammu region opined that BJP has lost its identity by joining hands with PDP for the formation of the Coalition Government in the state . Ideologically both the parties are of the 2 extreme ends of the Globe . They also allege that BJP has totally surrendered before PDP in running the affairs of this sensitive state. Competence to do is lacking in BJP ministers whereas PDP ministers are experienced leaders. From all this one can draw an impression that all is not going well within BJP and with the result Jammu people are suffering badly because no fault of theirs . The resentment in BJP circles is growing day by day on listening about the speculations of change of guard in the state thereby replacing the father with his daughter as the Chief Minister .
The rift between the staunch supporters and the opportunists in BJP is being widened day by day.
