Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 3: Three former state Congress Ministers expelled from the party over charges of indiscipline and lobbyism are finding it hard to get a new political party after three major political parties of state denied adjustment to them. One Kashmiri and two Jammu based former Congress Ministers of state for Roads and Buildings, Social welfare and Law and parliamentary affairs according to highly placed sources are finding it hard to get a new political party for them as three major political parties of state, PDP, NC and BJP deny accommodation to them on certain grounds. All three former Congress workers were ousted from JKPCC last year on the directions of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi over charges of indiscipline and creating lobbyism within state Congress. Sources said that ousted Kashmir based former Congress Minister had firstly approached PDP leadership through its workers to accommodate him in party fold without any pre-conditions, however nobody among top leadership paid heed to his repeated calls. Later this politically homeless former Congress leader approached NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah himself at his Gupkar residence but after inquiring about whereabouts of this former congress Minister, Abdullah according to sources directed his party workers not to allow him in NC premises ever in future. According to sources, these days this Kashmir based former Congress worker is knocking doors of separatist turned mainstream political leader and minister, Sajad Gani Lone to recommend him to BJP leadership, however Lone is yet to respond to repeated requests of this Congress leader. Two other ousted Jammu based former Congress Ministers according to sources are also finding it hard to search out a new political space for them in the area. One among these two Jammu based Congress workers having got some support of JKPCC senior leaders of Jammu division according to sources is employing all his means to come back in State Congress, but nobody from JKPCC dares to recommend to Congress high command to accommodate him in the party. This former Congress Minister according to sources is also in touch with NC's Jammu leadership and is lobbying hard to make hay at a time when NC has lost its political ground in Jammu division. Another former Congress Minister from Jammu according to sources is lobbying hard with some Jammu based BJP legislators these days and is making all efforts to enter in state BJP in presence of any leader from BJP High command. However BJP leaders according to sources are well aware of public criticism at a time when they are in coalition government to accommodate formerly ousted congress workers are yet to respond to the repeated knocks of these two politicians of Jammu. All these three Congress workers according to sources were accused for dividing State Congress within two groups when JKPCC was headed by Saif-ud-Din Soz. |
