JAMMU, Dec 3: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today attended the concluding function of Jammu and Kashmir Veteran Athletic Championship (JKVAA) of Men and Women 2015 held at MA Stadium. The event was organised by the J&K Veteran Athletic Association and sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council in which 170 players across the State participated.
Speaker also distributed prizes among the top performers, who will further participate in the National Games in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh in January next year.
On the occasion, Speaker also presented shawls to the best women Athletes and congratulated them for participating in the event. Secretary, State Sports Council, Javaid Ahmed Shah, President JKVAA, M S Baba, General Secretary, JKAAA, Ravinder Singh, General Secretary, JKVAA, Basotra, Sports Officer, Jammu, Ravi Singh besides a large number of sports lovers were also present on the occasion. |
