Jammu, Nov 3:Jammu youth forum(JYF) today staged protest against JK Sharma Director CDC for his involvement in the book scam of central library of the university.
Addressing the gathering here today, University President JYF Deepak Kumar said that soon after unearthing of the book scam, three member committee was constituted by the university authority to find out fact of the case headed by Prof.Kuldip Raj Sharma.
He also said that the committee has already submitted the fact-finding report to the VC since long. But the VC has shelved the report for obvious reasons as the Director CDC is a closed relative of the former who is trying his best to save the guilty officers from stern action.
He criticized the evasive attitude of the VC for his failure to take action in the case perpetuating his policy of favouritism and nepotisim. He further said that the officer who is guilty of procuring the book for his daughter from the central library by misusing his office chair when he was special secretary to VC, he has been made the Vigilance Officer of the University of Jammu who is already a culprit and lost his trust for indulging into unlawful activity.
Not only this, JK Sharma has also been made the incharge of the legal Section who is not the law knowing person and above all he is also one of the litigants against the university authority. He expressed astonishment against the working of VC who is giving long rook to such officers who have failed to prove their fidelity towards the university.
