JKADD submits memorandum to government | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 3: Jammu & Kashmir Association of Deaf and Dumb(JKADD) president Vijay Kumar Gupta today submitted a memorandum of demands to state government. The memorandum submitted to state government read as, "The world's largest minority that of disable people (about 15 % of world population) do not have equal access to society or services, including education, employment, health care, transportation, political participation or justice. On one side there are-many a nations who are trying their every bit to initiate various actions which will help to remove barriers that limit accessibility for and participation by persons with disabilities in all aspects of society and development". It further says that on December 3, when the whole world celebrates World Disability day let us take a look on the steps being initiated by the J&K Govt towards eradicating miseries of these special people. They demanded office accommodation Jammu Srinagar and in each district, enhancement of monthly pension from 400 to 8000 per month, MG NARGA to provided disabled pensions in rural and urban area, reservation in employment in vertically for handicapped to be implemented. 3% promotions as the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 12-09-2014 and transfer policy for handicapped employees beside others. ***********
