Special drive launched against traffic violators, 50 booked | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 3: In a special drive launched by the traffic department under the guidance of SSP (Traffic) Mohan Lal, the traffic police sleuths seized fifty (50) commercial and non-commercial vehicles for violating the traffic rules at different places of the city. Taking serious note of the traffic violations a special drive was launched under the guidance of SSP Traffic, Add SP Sunil Kumar and DySP Tajinder Singh. "During the drive, 39 minibuses, 10 motorcycles and one bus was seized in different parts of the city", said a spokesman of traffic department, an official spokesperson said. Meanwhile, SSP Traffic Jammu Mohan Lal also held a meeting in Talab Tillo locality for seeking suggestions from the public for bringing immediate relief in traffic movement and easing the problem of frequent traffic Jammu and road accidents. The problem of frequent traffic jams, road accident, noise pollution and air pollution was discussed and many practical suggestions were offered by the citizens .The rash driving particularly by matador drivers and young motorcyclist were brought to the notice of the SSP. The SSP patiently heard the suggestions offered by the citizen and assured for implementations of some of them on immediate basic & bring to the notice of the higher authorities which require action at their level. |
