MJR-47 feels PM's package has failed to resolve their issues | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 3: Referring to the recently announced PM's Package to resolve issues of PoJK refuges, MJR-47, (Movement for justice for 1947 refugees), today said that organizations feels that neither the state Govt. nor the Union Govt is serious to resolve the various genuine justified demands of POJK refugees of1947. The spokesperson said, "Although Prime Minister, has announced relief package of Rs. 80,000 crores for J&K State on 7/11/15 with special mention of Rs. 2000/- crores for POK refugee's rehabilitation yet it ha failed to clarify how much amount is to be given to each family and how many families in total have been taken into account." "This lackadaisical attitude of Govt. seems to delay the disbursement and gain time, he said and added, "both centre and state government should come forth with full details of this package so that aggrieved class of POJK refugee sufferings & miseries come to an end." He said that while making any further announcement in this regard, the centre should take into consideration recommendations made by the J&K State Govt. he also underlined that Union Govt should also take into account the recommendations made by Govt. Parliamentary Committee, which was headed by none else than the present Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu which has recommended relief of Rs 30 lakh for each family, reservation for wards of DP in technical and higher education institutions throughout the country and special employment package." "This committee has also recommended release of 8 Assembly seats out of 24 seats is kept reserved for POK, he added. The MJR-47 also requested prime minister to do Justice with POJK refugees and rehabilitate them properly and justifiably to end their long sufferings.
