JAMMU, Dec 5: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) expressed concern over delaying salary of gardeners, helpers and employees of the floriculture department.
A statement issued here, president of NMC Subash Shastri on Saturday drawn attention of State Chief Minister, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Public Works, Floriculture, toward the plight of gardeners, helpers and employees of the floriculture department who have not been get their salaries for the last two months.
During a meeting of NMC workers at Digiana, Shastri expressed surprise over the fact that though sufficient funds has been released by the Finance Department, their pending salaries has not been disbursed so far. Due to the same the employees have been living hand to mouth for existence, he added.
He urged Commissioner Secretary Floriculture to immediate by allot funds to heads of the department of Jammu region so that the employees get their salaries for the month of October and Nov at the earliest adding that due to non disbursement of salaries employees have not been celebrated the festivals of Eid-ul-Azha and Diwali. |
