Early Times Report Mendhar, Dec 5: Some miscreants allegedly led by a head constable pelted stones at the official residence of Sub Judge due to which brother, sister-in-law and mother of the judicial official sustained injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard and launched massive manhunt to nab the culprits. According to police sources the incident occurred after the sub-Judge resisted encroachment on state land near his house at Dhar Gloon in Mendhar area. Sources said that a case under FIR 124/15 u/s 451, 323, 336, 147, 427, 504 506 of RPC stands registered against head Constable Reyaz Ahmed presently posted as Munshi in Ramban Police Station and nine other persons. They maintained that Sub Judge has lodged a complaint with police alleging therein that Reyaz Ahmed was allegedly trying to encroach the state land near the house of Maushed Ahmed Khan, Sub-Judge Public Special Mobile Magistrate Kathua. Quoting the complainant , police sources said, "After Sub-Judge resisted the encroachment, the head constable along with nine other persons started pelting stones on the house of Sub-Judge in which the house got damage while his mother Arjum Bi, his brother Javed Ahmed Khan and his wife Talseem sustained injuries." Police said that after getting the information SDPO Mendhar Sahid Nayeem immediately reached the spot and registered a case in this regard. |
