Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5: Jammu Kashmir Reserve Categories Employees Association (JKRCEA), heads of various socio-religious groups of the communities, retired employees Sarpanchs, Panchs, all ranks of employees, youth and women held a convention in Sadguru Kabir Sabha, Akhnoor. On the occasion, Dr. Krishan Lal Bhagat, MLA Chamb was the Chief Guest. Piran Ditta (President, All J&K Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha), Bodh Raj Bhagat (President Bhagat Mahasabha), were the Guest of Honours. Dr. Sanjay Bhasin presided over the function. Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, General Secretary of the JKRCEA putforth demands of the employees and the association in front of MLA and appraised the gathering regarding the same. The demands included, Govt. should strictly direct Administrative Secretaries as well as Chief Secretary to pend all the proposal of promotion till government comes out with clear policy on Reservation in promotion, Govt. should adopt 77th, 81st, 85th Amendments of Indian Constitution through Cabinet memo- Presidential ordinance, Govt. to immediately call meeting of Enforcement Board on implementation of reservation in J&K as per reservation Act and SRO-294 & bring out Quantifiable data for Reservation fulfilled till date and Govt. to implement reservation R-e-Z, R-e-T & other such contractual and temporary recruitments. All the sarpanchas, Panchs and people present in the gathering supported the demand of the association. Some sarpanchas were of the view that a hunger strike should be started for pressing for the acceptance of the just & genuine demands. Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Krishan Lal Bhagat (MLA-Chamb) while addressing the huge gathering at Kabir Mandir Akhnoor told them that they have already talked with the chief minister so many times. He assured the gathering that Reservation in Promotion is a constitutional right and participation of reserved categories in the governance & other aspects cannot be taken away from them. If such thing happens he will resign and fight for the cause with his people on roads. |
