Royal Academy high school celebrates annual day

Doda, Dec 6: Royal Academy High School, Furqanabad Ghat celebrated its annual day yesterday which was witnessed by large number of local population, academicians, political activists and Chief education Officer (CEO) Doda.
The main attraction of the event was a Qawali, which focused on the rising evils in the society and how youth are getting lured to it.
This Qawali was appreciated by one and all and performers were given huge round of applause by the gathering. Participants were dressed in typical Qawal dress and the synchronisation among them was at its best.
Apart from Qawali students presented Dramas, jokes, talk on important issues including life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions.
The programme started at 10 in the morning and continued till 1 pm. Toppers and position holders were given medals and certificates of excellence.
Royal Academy was established by late Saidullah Tantray with a mission to provide both forms of education which included scientific as well as Islamic. The foundation stone of the present building was laid by former Ameer of Jamait-e-Islami J&K, late Saduddin Tarbali in presence of other members of JeT way back in 1980s. Former J&K Chief Minister and founder of National Conference (NC), Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah, during his visit to the school more than three and a half decades back, had applauded the efforts of Tantray for founding this school.
Speaking on the occasion, CEO Doda, Muhammad Ashraf Rather lauded the efforts of the school administration and students in bringing out the best.
"The present time is in dire need of both education, which this school is providing to the younger generations. At a time when drug menace, social and other forms of evils are luring youth, this school can play a great role in keeping new generation safe," Rather said.
He assured school administration of all possible help from him to keep standard of education at its best.
Ghulam Hassan Tantray, principal of the school thanked guests and people for attending the function and boosting the moral of the students.
