| Cabinet Minister recommends DySP for SDPO East | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 6: Taking the advantage of the pick and choose policy in the PDP-BJP led coalition government, a DySP rank person who was lobbying hard for the post of SDPO East in Jammu district finally get reward as his name was tossed for the very post by a Cabinet Minister from BJP camp. The DySP is at presently posted in hilly district of Jammu province as DySP DAR. Highly placed sources informed that the name of a DySP in question is strongly recommended to the PHQ and Home Department for his posting as SDPO East. His recommendation has created ripples in police circle as it is alleged that the DySP in question has offered Rs 10 lakh to the middle man for his posting as SDPO East. Sources further said that the middle man who is close to the corridors of power and is also a cop to the rank of Sub Inspector demanded Rs 10 lakh from the DySP for the very post which was okayed, adding it was not known whether the Cabinet Minister is aware of the deal or not but he has strongly recommended his name for the SDPO East. Sources said that the other police officers, after coming to know the deal, are also following the same pattern. |
