53rd annual Raising Day of Homeguards, Civil Defence J&K celebrated 12/6/2015 10:49:44 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: On 6th December 2015, 53rd Annual Raising Day of Homeguards and Civil Defence Jammu and Kashmir was celebrated at SDRF 2nd Bn. Hqrs. Jammu. Stanzin Norboo, SSP, Presided over the function. Sunil Kumar Kesar (Dy.SP) led the parade contingents comprises of SDRF, Volunteer Homeguards and SDRF Rescue team as Parade Commander. TD Saini (SSP), Vikas Gupta (SSP), Dr. Kiran Bakshi, Principal Government Degree College Gandhi Nagar Jammu, GO's of the Bn. and Dy. SP. posted as Dy. Controller CD and Area Commandants HG in different districts of Jammu province were present on the occasion along with Chief Warden CD Jammu, wardens , Volunteers of CD and others. Speaking on the occasion the Commandant SDRF congratulated the volunteers and thanks for the dedication towards social cause. He further urged them to have regular trainings and motivates others to join the force. Commandant SDRF further extended all co- operation amongst themselves to CD/HG volunteers in training and re-training of their active work force at SDRF complex. Chief Warden said that a number of CD Volunteers have been trained in remote area and has also proposed to impart more training to have a good strength of volunteers. On the occasion disaster response Demonstration was presented by SDRF and CD personnel. NSS students of Govt.
