JKPSA holds convention, seeks relaxation in norms | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 6: All JK Private School Association (JKPSA) today held one day convention with the collaboration of district unit wherein management of all private schools from entire district participated and raised several demands including relaxation in norms prescribed by state government on private schools. According to press release, while interacting to media, Kamal Gupta, State president of JKPSA, raised several demands and said shop tax, labour tax and so many other taxes are being imposed on private schools that affect teaching-learning process and functioning of the management. Gupta sought permanent affiliation and reorganization than yearly and added that private schools have to get Non- Objection certificate from 8 government departments every year. Gupta alleged state government to frame policies for schools without discussing with the JKPSA and added that government tries to convert private schools into government schools. |
