Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajindra, who was called by a cabinet minister of the highest rank from Bhartiya Janata Party at his official residence a few days ago is understood to have taken a serious note of the indiscipline created by a Sub-Inspector (SI) present on the occasion. According to highly placed sources, few days ago, the DGP was called to his residence by the cabinet minister for some official purpose. The SI, who is a close relative of the cabinet minister, also appeared there in a pre-planned manner with four officers and requested the cabinet minister to order the DGP for his promotion from SI to Inspector. The DGP, who felt demeaned, snubbed the SI disdainfully for the indiscipline he had created, alleged sources in the CID wing of police. "Main Aainda Aesa Misbehave Tolerate Nahin Karunga( I won't tolerate such indiscipline in future) ", said DGP to the SI who acted desperately to get promotion by illegal means harping on the influence of the cabinet minister who remained mum throughout, the sources alleged. The SI was reprimanded by the DGP and informed that the promotions would take place only at due time and no one would be given any benefit by any unlawful means, sources alleged. Sources alleged that the SI, who had the blessings of the cabinet minister, was also running a transfer industry in the police department. |
