srinagar, Dec 8:In a latest development in much hyped minor's death, the Principal District and Sessions Judge (PDSJ) Srinagar today shifted Wamiq Farooq killing case to Second Additional Sessions Judge Srinagar for disposal. Disposing of an application filed by victim boy's father, the judge Rashid Ali Dar withdrew the case from 1st Additional Sessions Judge and asked the parties including two accused policemen, who are presently in judicial custody at central jail here, to appear before second Additional Sessions Judge on December 10. Pertinently Farooq Ahmad Wani, father of the victim boy, had filed the application seeking transfer of the case from 1st Additional Sessions Judge alleging that the presiding officer had disclosed his mind in the open court that bail pleas by the accused, ASI Abdul Khaliq and Mohammad Akram, deserved to be admitted as it was a question of their liberty. In his reply before the PDSJ, the presiding officer denied to have made such a comment."Without going to the merits of the application, the matter is withdrawn from the court of 1st Additional Sessions Judge and assigned for disposal to 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Srinagar," the PDSJ said. Wamiq, a Class 7 student, was killed allegedly after a teargas shell fired by the police hit him on the head near Gani Memorial Stadium at Rajouri Kadal on 31 January 2010 further triggering massive protests in the Valley.
