Ex-DySP's Inspector son-in-law creates ripples in Police Deptt | | | Sumit Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 9: An Inspector of J&K police, who is posted as Station House Officer somewhere in hilly district in Jammu province has now a day become hot topic in police circle as he is taking the advantage of his father-in-law, who is a former DySP and a politician, has managed the order of DIG to be kept on abeyance. Informed sources said the said Inspector was suspended after a local MLA lodged complaint about his inefficiency in running the police station besides his involvement in corrupt practices. The matter was brought to the notice of the retired DySP and accordingly he approached a cabinet minister who rang the senior police officer for keeping the order on abeyance. It is also alleged that the said Inspector went on paternity leave for fifteen days; however, during investigation by the police it was revealed that the said Inspector enjoyed the leave even the birth of his child. The Inspector's approach in managing his suspension order on abeyance has created ripples in police department as it is alleged that the senior police officer who is obliging the minister acted swiftly without verifying the fact from his subordinates. |
