Police produces separate challans in 'Udh Petrol bomb attack, stone pelting' case

Udhampur, Dec 9: Police produced two separate challans against atleast thirteen persons including nine who have been slapped PSA (Public Safety Act) in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on Tuesday for their involvement in Udhampur Petrol Bomb Attack which claimed a life of a Kashmir based person on October 9/10 and stone pelting case on Kashmir bound truck .
The police sources said that investigations have revealed that on October 9, the accused first broke the front window pane of the Kashmir bound truck and then threw a petrol bomb inside it due to which three persons, including a police man, sustained injuries. Later, one of the two injured during medical treatment succumbed to his injuries in Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi where they have shifted for advanced medical treatment. The deceased Zahid has been identified as the conductor of the Kashmir bound truck while the driver of the truck Showkat Ahmed is still undergoing treatment.
As per police the entire incident was recorded on CCTV and two attackers were arrested immediately by the policemen deployed on patrolling duty and police issue the challan under FIR No 368 registered the case u/s 302 while PSA (Public Safety Act) was slapped against nine accused following the death of the injured viz. Sandoor Singh, Balram Singh alias Pankaj ,Harish Katoch, Amit Singh , Verinder Singh alias Kaka, Rahul Sharma, Rohit, Sunit Singh, Rameshwar Singh and Sarpanch Vikas Sharma booked u/s 212.
According to police Sarpanch Vikas Sharma not only provided offered shelter to some of accused biut also is alleged to have provided logistic support.
Meantime another challan was produced in CJM Court Udhampur against three persons for their involved in stone pelting on Kashmir bound truck against which a case was registered under FIR No 367 u/s 307 against Danish s/o khushia r/o near Sai Baba Mandir Devika Udhampur, Jasbir Singh s/o Baldev Singh R/O Laddan and Balbahadur Singh S/o Girdari Lal R/O Mongri A/P Sambal.
